Every house in Mason City has a story: a roof that made it through thirty Iowa winters, new siding that brings a new shine to a cherished home, and a window through which Iowa’s beautiful sunsets were watched.
We've had a hand in a lot of those stories. And that's our joy.
How we got here
TELL Construction started when our founder, Emmit Benitez decided he was done doing things the fast and “good enough” way.
Emmit then built this company from the ground up in Mason City, not with a big crew or a fancy office, but with a reputation of expert quality work in every corner of every earned job.
That was in 2014.
We've grown since then, and the one thing that hasn't changed is the expert quality standard from every roof to every window.
Every job gets done like our name depends on it, because in a smaller town like Mason City, it does.
The Story Behind Our Name
We get asked about our name a lot and we love that, because it’s one of our favorite things to explain.
“TELL” isn’t a last name — it’s an acronym, made up of the people in our family who built this company side by side. Every letter stands for someone who helped make it what it is.
It’s a name that comes from family, not just a founder, and that’s exactly how we run the business. When you call TELL Construction, you’re reaching a family that’s put its name, literally, on every job we do.
What we're recognized for
Roofing, siding, windows, decks, and garages. The stuff that takes a beating from Iowa weather and needs to be done right the first time.
We're not the kind of crew that rushes through a job to get to the next one. Every project gets the same attention, whether it's a window replacement or a completely new build. People notice the difference in our expert quality, and they talk about it.
Most of our work in Mason City and surrounding areas comes from someone who knows someone we've already worked for.
